Ordered the Ellipse without the foot straps to begin with but found, after ordering & receiving the foot straps, they are a must for this machine to keep your feet firmly in place! This machine & these straps are awesome! I purchased because I sit at a desk all day in front of a computer and the machine is great for this PLUS ten days ago I had bilateral knee replacement and this machine has been very helpful in my recovery thus far!

MAINTAINING FOOT POSITION ON THE ELLIPSE IS KEY TO PROPER LEG AND KNEE ALIGNMENT TO PREVENT MUSCLE STRAIN, THEREBY DEFEATING THE ENTIRE PURPOSE FO USING THE MACHINE IN THE FIRST PLACE. tHE STRAPS MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE IN BENEFIT DERIVED AND WILL PREVENT INJURY AND STRAIN.
